S5-S6 Volleyball
A team of S5-S6 pupils enjoyed the opportunity by participating in volleyball against a range of WLC schools. St Kent’s finished 3rd behind 2 other schools and gave a great account of themselves against strong opposition.
Thanks to West Calder HS for hosting and co-ordinating this event!
S3-S4 Boys Handball team
Well done to our S3 boys who proudly represented St Kentigern’s Academy at the Scottish Schools Boys Handball Championship. The team performed superbly competing against some high level handball athletes and other competitive schools. We are so proud of their effort, teamwork and positive attitude throughout the day – well done girls. Thanks again to Coach Strachan for all his support.
Manchester City Trip
In March a group of St Kent’s pupils enjoyed a fantastic football excursion. The involved pupil’s had the pleasure of visiting Anfield the home of Liverpool Football Club for a stadium tour. Following this our pupils got to attend the Manchester City vs Nottingham Forrest game at the Etihad Arena. Thanks again to all the school staff especially Mr McGonigal and to all the pupils for their excellent behaviour.
Scottish Schools Cross Country
This year, 6 runners represented St Kentigern's Academy at the Scottish Schools Cross Country. The Scottish School Championship course is tough and standard is a lot higher than our West Lothian event, however, congratulations to all the runners who achieved great results from this experience.
S1-S3 Girls Football West Lothian Tourament
Well done to the S1-S2 Girls Football team who represented St Kentigern’s Academy by participating in the West Lothian Spar Cup at the end of February at Winchburgh Academy. The team had some tough games however, place 4th in West Lothian therefore qualified for the Scottish Schools Spar Cup which will take place in term 3.
S1-S3 Junior Dance
St Kentigerns Academy Junior team proudly preformed their lyrical dance at the West Lothian Secondary Schools Dance competition in Jan. The routine was choreographed by volunteer dance leaders – Heide, Emily & Jill and was truly incredible. The team finished 2nd place!!
S3-S4 Girls Handball

Despite it being their 1st ever tournament, the team performed superbly competing against some high level handball athletics and other competitive schools. We are so proud of their effort, teamwork and positive attitude throughout the day – well done girls.
